Supports for Children Living with Disabilities

Families can access free services to support inclusion in licensed child care programs for children living with disabilities.

Family Early Intervention Program

The Family Early Intervention Program (FEIP), offered by Haldimand-Norfolk R.E.A.C.H., helps children up to age 12 who may have developmental delays.

If needed, families can access additional services at no cost to help integrate children with special needs into licensed child care centres or licensed home-based caregivers participating in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care System.

FEIP offers:

  • Guidance and resources for families
  • Ongoing support for child care staff
  • Help with transitions to school
  • Referrals to other community services

Anyone can refer a child, including families, child care centres, schools, doctors, or community agencies.
