Eviction Prevention Program

The Eviction Prevention Program works with housing providers to:

  • Proactively address issues that could lead to eviction
  • Connect tenants to financial assistance, mediation, and support services
  • Help maintain stable housing and prevent homelessness

Why refer early?

Early referrals give tenants the best chance to:

  • Resolve arrears or financial issues
  • Access community supports
  • Avoid eviction and maintain housing stability

Who can access the Eviction Prevention Program?

The Eviction Prevention Program is not open to the public. It is a targeted support initiative for the local community and affordable housing providers to refer individuals and families at risk of eviction.

Submit a referral

Housing providers can log in to submit referrals through our online portal. For access, contact Housing Services at 519-426-6170 or 905-318-6623, extension 3234.
