Temporary housing 

The Emergency Housing Program is a temporary housing program that provides brief support in a motel for those facing a crisis of absolute homelessness. Housing Support Workers are available to assist in re-establishing transitional or permanent housing. 

Amenities available 

  • Comfortable beds 
  • Access to food 
  • Individual room with 3-piece bathroom facilities 
  • 24/7 security 
  • TV/wifi/phone/computer 

Rooms are available for as long as needed, and participation and compliance with program rules are sustained.

Overnight shelter

Church Out Serving’s Home For The Night program provides a safe, welcoming space for community members experiencing homelessness. The shelter operates year-round and is located in downtown Simcoe. 

Hours

  • Open every night
  • Guest intake: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM daily 

Services offered 

  • Comfortable beds 
  • Meals 
  • Shower facilities 
  • Clothing 
  • Activities and a listening ear 
  • Caring staff, volunteers, and security on-site

Daytime drop-in program 

Church Out Serving’s daytime program is available for people experiencing homelessness.  Appointments can be made to meet with Housing Support staff to assist with rehousing options. 

When 

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays
  • 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
